Key Responsibilities
Department Management (35%)
- Lead and optimize daily department workflow and structure for maximum efficiency
- Champion company initiatives and serve as a change agent
- Guide staff through unique situations and make high-level decisions when needed
- Ensure safety and environmental standards are upheld within the facility and department
- Manage the departmental budget, conduct performance reviews, and offer growth opportunities to team members
Operational Excellence (35%)
- Drive process improvement and industrial engineering initiatives
- Support new product deployment by optimizing assembly setup and part storage
- Implement measurement systems and establish performance targets
- Design efficient, ergonomic assembly solutions for our production line
Quality Management (30%)
- Maintain and enhance our Quality Management System
- Oversee audits, quality control, and inspection processes for internal and supplier quality
- Lead customer quality support, ensuring satisfaction through feedback loops and problem-solving
- Monitor supplier relationships, ensuring high standards and ongoing improvements
- Ensure after-sales product support and establish proactive safety system management
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years in a quality-related role and 2+ years in a managerial capacity
- Proficiency in quality systems, production processes, and product knowledge
- Solid knowledge of ISO standards, OSHA regulations and compliance, as well as familiarity with environmental considerations
- Solid computer skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and ERP familiarity
