Posted Job Title: Product Experience Associate Researcher (Sensory Lab)
As Product Experience (PX) Researchers, we represent the voice of the consumer within IFF and help to drive regional sales by implementing research designs and effectively managing resources to ensure we create optimal products people love.
IFF PX NA Flavors is looking for an Associate Researcher for the site in South Brunswick, NJ. Are you passionate about sensory and consumer insights and how they can impact product design, development, and creating optimal products people love?
The person in this position will report to the regional PX Researcher. As a main responsibility, the person will oversee the preparation of internal sensory evaluations and maintenance of the sensory facility.
As Product Experience Associate Researcher, you will:

Prepare for panel sessions and internal tests: labeling, pouring/weighing samples, collecting reference materials, cooking preparations, printing necessary documentation.

Labelling testing cups and preparing trays for evaluations

Maintenance of the sensory facility: keeping clean workspaces, keeping track of stock (cups, lids, products etc.), grocery shopping as needed.

Recruitment of participants for internal tests.

Collaboration with PX Researchers: Schedule testing, ensure all information is provided for test execution

Good understanding of testing controls: keeping samples the same temperature, color, size, amount

Strong computer skills (MS Office, Teams, Outlook, Compusense a plus)

Easy going approach, ability to switch between tasks in a fast-paced environment

Administrative work: filling databases using pre-defined templates.

Manage vendor payments for the department using accounting software
Required Skills:

Essential:

BS degree in a science related area (food science, chemistry, biology, psychology),

Effective team player
-
Good interpersonal skills, ability to recruit panelists during evaluations

Works autonomously on given tasks with minimal reviews by manager,
-
At ease with Microsoft Office environment, especially Excel and Word.

Experience with Compusense data collection software
Required Experience:
1-3 years’ experience in a lab setting, sensory lab experience a plus
