Position Summary:
The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for working with cross-functional teams in the implementation and efficient execution of project-type initiatives at the Firm. The PM will provide portfolio level support of internal operational projects across the Firm, working with and supporting project sponsors and owners.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Provides overall project management support for major enterprise-wide initiatives

Oversees the planning and implementation of major, firm-wide projects and initiatives
-
Partners with project sponsor to define project objectives, scope, schedule, budget

Serves as liaison between vendors and internal stakeholders
-
Establishes project charter, plan and critical success factors
-
Leads and directs geographically dispersed project team to meet project objectives
-
Works with departments and vendors to coordinate systems testing, installation, training and support

Manages project tasks, timeline, expenses, budget, and ensure schedule adherence
-
Provides leadership in understanding and assessing business issues, problems, risks, and challenges and assimilating that input into actionable, executable plans, e.g., defining next steps, developing action plans, mitigation plans or preliminary workplans, etc.

Exhibits sound change management methodology and principles and delivery experience, including but not limited to change management planning, barriers to change analysis and mitigation planning, training needs analysis and training plan development (working with training SMEs), communications planning and execution, etc.

Secures appropriate resources and ensure availability in a matrix organization

Ensures participation of all required resources, including key stakeholders, at all levels defined in the workplan

Defines and executes corrective action(s) required to regain project timeline and schedule (when overdue tasks and\or schedules are missed)

Serves as the key point of contact for the overall project and beyond

Communicates status across stakeholders and drive actions to closure

Participates and facilitates stakeholder meetings, training courses, and team engagements

Analyzes data to develop process flow charts and create efficiencies

Escalates issues to the PMO, project oversight board, and management as appropriate

Coordinates and facilitate timely review and sign-off on all project deliverables

Delivers targeted business goals and objectives of projects

Possesses general understanding of application programming, database, and system design, Internet, Intranet, Extranet, Cloud and client server architectures
Skills & Competencies:

Demonstrated project lifecycle experience including, but not limited to, leading and\or managing feasibility studies, opportunity assessments, business case development(s), user requirements definition, software selection, design, build\development, testing, implementation planning, issue resolution, and post-implementation support.

Demonstrated ability to assess business issues, problems, and challenges and quickly turn that information into action (e.g., defining next steps, developing action plans, mitigation plans or preliminary workplans, etc.)

Successful history of effectively managing multiple projects concurrently.

Experience with multiple projects with major change management requirements and implications utilizing a defined and structured change management methodology.

Demonstrated team building and team leading experience, developing and integrating diverse team members and third party resources into a cohesive and effective project team.

Demonstrated ability to work well and communicate effectively with senior management as well as staff, including presenting complex concepts and ideas in a clear, succinct manner, effectively exercising influencing skills, etc.

Qualifications & Prior Experience:

At least 5 years overall project management responsibility – client-facing management consulting experience a major plus

Project Management Professional Certification preferred

Prior experience working in a PMO (Project Management Office)
