We're seeking a highly skilled Production Scheduling & Planning Manager to join our team at Heinz Wattie's (Tomoana NZ), where you'll lead the way in ensuring our production lines run smoothly and efficiently, and our customers receive the products they love on time.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Ensure all materials arrive on site to meet production requirements in a cost-effective manner
- Manage suppliers and communicate priorities daily to ensure best practices in purchasing, delivery, and payment of materials
- Oversee the required materials, generate purchase orders, and track receipting of purchase orders
- Ensure expediting of purchase orders where required and confirm vendor ability to meet requirements
- Liaise with production schedulers to ensure all materials are on site within agreed timeframes
- Maintain data integrity and ensure accurate planning of items
- Participate in site NOD process and notify stakeholders of shortfalls to ensure a feasible production plan
- Manage site inventory levels to meet target levels, including onsite and offsite storage
- Conduct regular analysis to prevent slow and obsolete stock (SLOB) and manage the process
- Collaborate with supply planning team and production to ensure delivery to customers in a timely manner
About you:
- Proven experience in materials purchasing and scheduling, with a strong background in managing suppliers and inventory levels
- Hands-on experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and databases
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interact with various stakeholders, including inwards team members, department process owners, local suppliers, and the site manager
- Strong leadership skills, with experience leading a team of direct reports
- A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work closely with the Planning Team to ensure seamless production planning and execution
- A results-driven approach, with a focus on achieving high levels of customer satisfaction and driving business success
- A Certification in Planning and Inventory Management (CPIM) (desired)
- Full working rights in Australia or New Zealand (required)
