Are you a detail-oriented and organised individual with a passion for supply chain? Do you want to join a global food company with a rich history of innovation and excellence? We're seeking a highly motivated and experienced Materials Scheduler to join our team at Heinz Wattie's King St (NZ), where you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production line.

Key position responsibilities include, but not limited to:

  • Purchase materials needed for production, ensuring timely delivery and minimising inventory investment
  • Create and manage purchase orders, expediting or de-expediting as needed to meet production schedules
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Follow up with suppliers on deliveries, resolving any issues or discrepancies
  • Analyse and report on inventory levels, providing transparency on results to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with suppliers, operations, and other teams to discuss performance, address issues, and plan for future needs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve invoice discrepancies, ensuring accurate payment to suppliers
  • Plan and coordinate materials for new product launches, minimizing waste and ensuring smooth production
  • Develop, document, and maintain policies and procedures related to materials planning
  • Work closely with various teams, including Inwards Goods, Production Planners, Accounts Payable, and Logistics, to ensure seamless supply chain operations


About you:

  • A highly motivated and experienced Materials Scheduler with a passion for supply chain management
  • Strong foundation in business, logistics, or supply chain management, with a relevant industry or tertiary qualification (e.g. APICS CPIM or CIPSA)
  • Prior experience in an FMCG manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in using ERP systems and MRP theory and practice
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel, with basic skills in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think logically and mathematically
  • Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
  • Full working rights in New Zealand
