Job Description:
Reporting to the Director of Product Marketing – Filler Metals, the Product Marketing Associate will be responsible for the growth and profitability of a subset of filler metal products in North America.
Primary Duties
- Identify and deploy strategies for the existing offerings while managing their product lifecycle.
- Work with Supply chain and Production teams to manage the demand forecast for their product line.
- Update marketing material and collaterals to clearly demonstrate ESAB’s value proposition for target segments while illustrating the solution approach for these segments.
- Define target segments to pursue. Map needs for these segments and, in collaboration with global product marketing and engineering, translate these needs into offerings and services roadmaps.
- Work with regional sales teams to implement an effective commercial strategy to drive sales revenue in these segments including participating in customer visits.
- Collaborate with marketing communication to innovate ways to reach and deliver the value proposition message to target customers.
- Recommend solutions to customers as a subject matter expert in welding specialty alloys.
- Define and grow alternate channels to market.
- Collaborate with supply chain and other stakeholders to make delivery, quality, and servicing performance a key competitive differentiator.
- Provide related training to sales, field marketing and channel partners.
- Other duties as assigned to support business objectives.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree with focus on Welding or Metallurgy with 2+ years’ experience in welding related fields.
- Have a customer-focused mindset and have a structured efficient approach to responding to customer needs.
- Show excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including communicating complex technical content to a range of audiences.
- Ability to support the needs of and interact appropriately with cross-functional personnel.
- Excellent customer relationship building skills and ability to work cross-functionally and culturally.
- Proficient in project management.
- Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
Work Environment
- Remains in a stationary position 50% of the time and involves additional physical demands such as ascending/descending stairs, walking stooping and standing.
- Must wear Personal Protective Equipment ‘PPE’ when working/visiting manufacturing and plant locations.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery including but not limited to printer, tablets, cell phones.
- May be exposed to varying weather during travel.
- Travel up to 30% (US, Canada and Mexico).
Pay Range:
$74,788.00-$87,007.00
