Purpose
This role will provide leadership for the company’s global Fleet Procurement strategy, managing $10M+ category spend. Resource will be responsible for setting and maintaining policies and approved vehicle options. Will engage with business leaders presenting reporting for category, project updates, and contract requests. Role will contribute to the overall success and competitiveness of our organization by driving operational excellence, fostering sustainable supplier partnerships, and optimizing procurement practices to deliver value to the organization. Role may provide other category level support for other indirect activities, or projects as needed.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement fleet procurement strategies, globally.

Own and maintain fleet policy, ensuring alignment with senior leadership.

Optimize category run costs through total cost of ownership analysis
-
Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiating contracts, and terms to secure best pricing and terms for goods and services required by the organization.

Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, facilitating regular cadence of governance.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, provide guidance and support to optimize decisions and adhere to policies.

Monitor supplier performance, track key performance indicators, and implement corrective actions as needed.

Review and approval of specifications for program, including standard safety features to be included in manufacturer agreements.

Make pragmatic decisions on asset and financial topics, providing recommendations to leadership for major transactions.

Identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, supplier consolidation initiatives, and drive implementation of approved initiatives. Manage project activities to reduce year over year spend, and avoid inflationary cost pressures.

Conduct market research and data analysis as necessary to facilitate sourcing events and validate fleet vehicle options

Provide support for other indirect categories or projects as necessary by management.

Provide operational support for European fleet activities, as necessary to enable consolidated administration of region’s fleet.

Collaborate with global and country-level administrative resources to ensure fleet program is executed per strategy, and that drivers are complying with company policies.

Develop standardized reporting and dashboards for assigned categories, improving spend visibility where possible.
Basic Qualifications
-
8+ years experience in a procurement or buying role
-
3-5 years experience supporting indirect categories
-
Past experience with vehicle leasing agreements
-
Past experience supporting procurement categories on a regional or global scale

Past experience managing procurement activities for fleet or a closely related commodity

Bachelors Degree
-
Strong communications & presentation skills

Experience working in SAP or a similar ERP system, skills with MS Office
