About the Opportunity 

Reporting to the EPMO Governance and Reporting Manager, this new role will support the organisation to deliver best value in an evolving technology environment through an integrated approach to performance monitoring and reporting. The role will use data driven insights to contribute to operational improvements and effective project delivery across the business.

  • Performance and Reporting: the role will develop and monitor key performance indicators aligned with VicRoads' strategic goals, manage monthly technology performance reporting, and create insightful dashboards and reports to support decision-making and improvements.
  • Data and Analytics: Analise, interpret, and present operational and project data to support evidence-based recommendations while driving the collection and sharing of financial and non-financial insights to address issues and opportunities.
  • Portfolio Governance and Reporting: Supporting portfolio delivery performance reporting and governance activities while using data from the new Project Management Tool to enhance insights and portfolio management.
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Track, validate and report on operational cost savings from service efficiencies and waste reductions while collaborating with the Project Financial Analyst and Technology Operations teams to inform technology budgets.

About you 

You have a background in technology, finance, project management, or management consulting, with a strong focus on performance analysis and reporting. Your high-level analytical skills enable you to interpret and present complex information effectively, supporting informed decision-making.

With excellent interpersonal skills, you excel at building positive and productive relationships with executives, colleagues, and stakeholders. Your strong problem-solving abilities, combined with effective time management, allow you to navigate deadlines and conflicting priorities with ease. Additionally, you have a high degree of proficiency in key business software, including MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

Desirable

You bring strong financial acumen with a solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and cost management. Your knowledge of business improvement principles or methodologies supports a culture of continuous improvement.

Additionally, you have a demonstrated understanding of the challenges facing organizations in a fast-evolving technology environment.
