Drata's People Team provides leadership for initiatives that support talent, performance, change management, new leader coaching, organizational design, and employee relations. As Drata’s People Operations Specialist, you will play an important part in providing a great employee experience so all our team members can do their best work. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic about upholding the team mission of People Operations by employing strategies, systems, structure, and solutions to enable everyone to be more productive at work. This position will be heavily involved in maintaining the strong relationship People Operations has with the business by being a primary source of People team knowledge and excellent customer service-based support.
What you’ll do:
- Answer employee questions and/or direct employees to the right teams to have their questions answered
- Manage the New Hire Onboarding program from signed offer to an employee's first day
- Lead and track the new hire process, including sending background checks, processing new hire paperwork via Workday, assigning new hire training, completing I-9 Verifications, etc.
- Collaborate closely with our Recruiting and Workplace teams on the employee experience
- Become an expert on our HR systems and maintain the people data across them
- Maintain HRIS data integrity by accurately and timely inputting data throughout the employment life cycle including establishing new hire profiles, processing employee personal and job changes and tracking HR training requirements/renewals
- Analyze and audit employee-related, payroll, and other data on a weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to ensure accuracy
- Proactively identify improvement opportunities in processes and follow through with changes as needed to include onboarding, termination and other process updates.
- Support and manage new projects and initiatives across Drata’s global workforce
- Maintain and ensure necessary documentation is stored in employee files
What you’ll bring:
- 3+ years of experience working on a high-growth people operations team
- At least 1 year of Workday Experience required; backend Workday knowledge highly preferred
- Naturally curious. Always seeking to learn more and to improve/streamline processes, programs and HR systems
- Collaborative. Builds healthy working relationships and partners effectively with others on projects and initiatives
- Detail-oriented. Thoroughly and accurately completes tasks while effectively managing projects simultaneously, prioritizing urgent needs, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communicator. Exercises discretion, sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy in all communications, due to the exposure to highly sensitive and confidential information

This role will receive a competitive base salary, benefits, and stock, typically in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). The applicable salary range for each US-based role is based on where the employee works and is aligned to one of 3 tiers based on the cost of labor for that geographic area. The expected salary ranges for this role are below, subject to change.
Tier 1: $88,400 - $109,200
Tier 2: $79,600 - $98,300
Tier 3: $70,700 - $87,400
