The Team

Role and Responsibilities
The Payroll Accounting team is a dynamic and collaborative group committed to excellence in financial operations. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Responsible for performing highly specialized accounting tasks around Payroll reporting, Global Mobility, and international taxes.

Act as a liaison between Business Units and third-party vendors (CloudPay).

Lead and manage a team of 5 payroll accountants based in India and Malaysia, ensuring timely and accurate payroll processing.

Utilize Oracle systems to streamline payroll operations and maintain comprehensive financial records.

Analyze payroll data to identify trends and opportunities for process improvements.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align payroll operations with organizational goals.

Ensure compliance with local and international payroll regulations and standards.

Provide mentorship and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of inclusivity and continuous learning.

Analyze payroll reports provided by third party payroll provider to ensure that all transactions are reflected correctly on the company’s general ledger; approximately 35,000 total employees

Coordinate with third party payroll tax company to validate payroll tax filings and payments for the current month

Review payroll balance sheet accounts for any unusual activity and contact appropriate party for more details

Verify, allocate, and post all expatriate related expenses; including but not limited to housing expense, travel expense, and international tax accruals; approximately 50+ expatriates and $750k monthly expense

Interact with various business units regarding budget vs. actual for expatriates.

Refer to third party tax consultants regarding expatriate tax accruals and estimates for duration of their assignment

Work with external auditors for any ad hoc requests

Works on monthly closing duties supporting the Business Units and Global controllers.

Collaborate with Payroll benefits accountant for deliverables and assist in adhoc projects
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Demonstrate ability to effectively prioritize work and manage performance of a team in a multicultural environment for superior results.
- Demonstrate ability to develop and implement process improvements.
- Strong communication skills, strategic agility, and people management.
- Highly motivated self-starter with supervisory, review, and proofing experience.
- 5 to 10 years work experience in a similar accounting role within a global organization.
- Ability to work independently and effectively in the EMEA time zone and render overtime when there is a strong business need.
Preferred Skills
- Proficiency in Oracle financial operating systems
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint…
- Knowledge of Alteryx
