Job Description

This is a site-based role on a roster, offering flexibility and the opportunity to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of management programs and connecting production staff to their goals, focusing on operational efficiency, quality control, and minimising service failures. You will oversee a range of operations across sites in the Australian resource and energy sector, ensuring that goals are met, standards are maintained, and safety requirements are adhered to.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and assist with performance reviews for the operations team members, fostering continuous development and improvement.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure that customer service expectations and contractual agreements are consistently met.
  • Oversee daily staff operations to maintain efficiency and uphold quality control across multiple sites.
  • Monitor the performance of the work management process to improve operational performance.
  • Establish and implement company goals and policies to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Drive production and operational procedures, ensuring they are clear, well-understood, and adhered to by all staff.
  • Ensure all health, safety, and regulatory requirements are met and maintained.
  • Develop and implement best practices for service management and operations to maximise productivity and quality.
  • Manage key operational processes and workflows, ensuring team efficiency and success.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in operations management, with a strong understanding of multi-site and multi-service environments within the Australian resource and energy sector. Proven success in driving operational efficiency, quality, and team performance.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Human Resources Management (Intermediate): Strong understanding of HR processes, including performance reviews and employee development.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Intermediate): Proficiency in MS Office applications for reporting, planning, and communication.
  • Project Management (Intermediate): Experience in managing projects from initiation through to completion.
  • SAP (Intermediate): Familiarity with SAP for managing operations and workflows.
