National Sales Executive

In this role, the National Sales Executive (NSE) is responsible for identifying, qualifying and signing new prospects as well as supporting existing contracts within the Mid-Market and emerging brands (16 – 100 locations).  This role requires strong management and leadership skills to work within a matrix sales and operations organization.  The NSE will possess the ability to effectively close sales and ensure seamless implementations for customers.

Location: This is a regional based role; however, the ideal candidate will live in one the following states: TX, NV, AZ, OK, along with LA, and San Diego, but also must live close to an airport. 

Compensation:  The base salary range for this position and dependent on experience and performance is $90,000 - $110,000 annually, plus uncapped commission. Base plus commission earnings if goal is reached can range from $135,000 - $165,000+. Please note that the base salary will vary based on geographic location, market conditions, and the candidate's experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work independently and collaboratively to establish selling strategies and tactics that result in new business generation within Mid-Market and emerging brands segments.
  • Establish relationships at multiple levels within corporate organizations, including Regional Managers, District Managers, operations, engineering, purchasing, executive and leadership teams.
  • Strategic planning – ability to develop and execute strategies to meet company objectives.
  • Work cohesively with National Sales Specialist to deliver local sales team members on mid-market chains and hotel management group initiatives.
  • Manage sales materials, presentations, contracts & pricing.
  • Accountable to accurately forecast new business both monthly and quarterly.
  • Document daily activities and sales process in customer relations management (CRM) system
  • Participate in industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote products and services and stay on top of industry trends.

Position Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related experience and/or training; prior experience selling to national accounts, competencies in selling value add items
  • Food and beverage industry experience strongly preferred
  • Sales – Demonstrated success with entire sales process including prospecting, qualifying, obtaining commitment, negotiating and account maintenance while managing customer expectations
  • Experience with a CRM (SalesForce)
  • Travel - up to 50% required

Preferred Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred with a focus in Business, Sales, or Marketing.
