Hitachi Energy is seeking a Marketing and Sales Power BI Analyst, focusing on the North American Transformers business. The primary focus of the position will be to support the North American marketing and sales team with business intelligence reporting as well as defining metrics to drive continuous improvement. This role will be responsible for utilizing and developing reporting capabilities within Power BI to facilitate management decision making.
Your Responsibilities:

Work closely with stakeholders to understand their reporting needs and translate those needs into effective reports, dashboards and interactive visualizations

Collaborate with data teams and other analysts to acquire, clean, and transform data

Extract, transform, and load data from various sources such as Salesforce into Power BI for analysis and reporting purposes

Develop, automate, and maintain dataflows, datasets, and data pipelines for analytics and data modeling

Formulate DAX calculations and measures for quantitative metrics, qualitative metrics, and key performance indicators

Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights to continuously improve business performance

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI reports and dashboards

Be a subject matter expert on Power BI and related technologies, providing guidance and support on data modeling, Power Query and DAX calculations

Ensure that best practices are leveraged and implemented proactively with specific focus on efficiency, compliance, data security, and process documentation.

Your Background:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business, Information Systems, or relevant degree.
- Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a Power BI Analyst or similar role
- Experience with Power BI and familiarity with DAX and the Power Query M formula language
- Experience with a large company’s CRM system like Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics
- Exposure to a large ERP system like Oracle or SAP
- Familiarity with SQL
- Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively to build working relationships with all stakeholders
- Self-motivated, results-focused, analytical mindset with a penchant for details
- Must be fluent in both writing and speaking in English
- Experience implementing data-driven changes and exposure to lean manufacturing principles is desirable
- Microsoft Certifications in Power BI Fundamentals and/or Power BI Data Analyst Associate are a plus
- Knowledge about the Hitachi Energy Transformers product portfolio is an advantage
