The Manager, Database Marketing works with a team of campaign and data analysts, driving marketing and sales growth by focusing on campaign lead generation, data analytics, reporting, and process improvements that enhance marketing and sales performance. Through a combination of technical expertise, analytical ability, and organizational skills, the Manager, Database Marketing identifies growth opportunities, supports campaign processes, and collaborates with cross-functional teams.
Campaign Development & Lead Generation
Lead execution of multi-channel marketing and sales campaigns with a focus on audience segmentation, personalization, and customer journey mapping.
Support the translation of complex business needs into technical requirements, providing recommendations for improving lead generation and campaign targeting.
Utilize HCL Unica Campaign and SQL to develop, manage, and deliver high-quality campaigns, ensuring the timely delivery of actionable datasets.
Conduct lead research and analysis to expand the potential customer base by analyzing waterfall reports and suppression criteria, exploring new/existing data assets and recommending growth strategies, and designing trigger campaigns based on diverse data signals and customer behaviors.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical teams, and external vendors to align campaign data and processes with business objectives.
Serve as a point of contact between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring data-driven decisions and solutions support marketing objectives.
Process Optimization
Identify and recommend opportunities to streamline campaign workflows and reporting processes through analysis and automation.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance campaign efficiency and maximize ROI.
Vendor Relationship Management
Assist in managing key vendor relationships to ensure data quality, accuracy, and timeliness in support of lead generation and sales targeting.
Monitor vendor performance and collaborate to maintain strong partnerships for campaign success.
Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Expert with campaign management or automated marketing tools (i.e., Unica, Aprimo, Epiphany)
Ability to execute campaign management projects working in a large organization with multiple campaign channels
Ability to translate requirements into data products and deliver on time
Ability to conduct performance analysis and communicate results to cross-functional teams
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks at one time
Ability to manage all phases of a large project from beginning to end with autonomy
Ability to collaborate with people from all levels of the organization, many different disciplines, and varying degrees of technical and business experience
Ability to conduct presentations to various levels of management
Ability to analyze and interpret data to make recommendations based on analysis and expertise
Required Education
Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Management, Business, Finance or related discipline
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
Database marketing experience, Campaign Development, or Data Analytics - 5+
SQL, HCL Unica Campaign, or similar tools 5+
Marketing Project Management - 5+
