Manager, Data Acquisition
What You’ll Do
The Manager, Data Acquisition will play a crucial role in driving the company's mission to provide cutting-edge kidney care services to patients through effective data acquisition strategy and process. This person will lead a team of 1-2 data acquisition associates while directly managing a variety of data acquisition initiatives for existing and new partners. They will also be responsible for providing input and executing on data acquisition strategies and process improvements that enable the organization to drive value-based outcomes in kidney care. This position will report to the Sr. Director, Technology Operations & Governance.
The Day to Day
- Provides input into and executes on a data acquisition strategy aligned with company objectives, with a focus on healthcare payer and clinical data sources
- Partners with senior leadership to translate business requirements into actionable data acquisition priorities, managing a dynamic roadmap that adapts to evolving needs
- Establishes and nurtures relationships with data providers, developing deep understanding of the data they provide to ensure successful integration and utilization
- Orchestrates complex data ingestion projects from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with business timelines and quality standards
- Leads and mentors a team of data professionals through both direct and matrix management structures, fostering professional development and driving operational excellence
- Serves as the subject matter expert on external data sources, providing strategic recommendations for data utilization and integration
- Implements and enforces data quality, data governance, and data security processes to ensure data is accurate, secure, and accessible to stakeholders
- Streamlines and documents data acquisition processes, creating clear documentation and standard procedures
- Builds knowledge of the latest industry trends and best practices in data acquisition, and provides input into new technologies and processes that can support the company's goals
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or related field.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with healthcare payer and clinical data, specifically:
- Medical and pharmacy claims
- Member eligibility and demographics
- Provider network data
- Clinical data (encounters, lab results, medications, diagnoses)
- Experience in data acquisition from external sources strongly preferred
- Proven track record of successful project management and stakeholder engagement
- Internet Connectivity - Min Speeds: 3.8Mbps/3.0Mbps (up/down): Latency <60 ms.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field (MHA, MPH) or MBA with healthcare administration focus
- 2+ year experience leading or managing teams of data professionals
- Knowledge of value-based care concepts and practices
- Experience with Jira and knowledge of basic SQL

Annual Base Salary Range: $99,000.00 - $124,000.00
