Job Description
This position will be responsible for increasing market penetration in the Central America Region. Also, will be the primary contact with some of the clients, providing overall support, business solutions, brand orientation, products and services to these clients.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute short and long term strategic plans for clients and market. Ensure that such plans adhere to Visa mission statement of increasing Clients profitability, strengthening the partnership within them and also being in agreement with Visa Inc. overall strategy.
- Develop and execute a set of objectives and goals for assigned client to increase Client's Visa sales volume, profitability and providing dynamic and proactive product support and customer service
- View new business opportunities, analyzing Clients profiles, products profile as well as their strategic moments, with the purpose of offering more adequate products to the necessities of the partners and increasing their business volume with Visa.
- Manage the revenue, expense, capital expenditures and income producing activities for client. Work closely with other areas within Visa Inc to ensure revenue growth.
- Work with Clients on ways to maximize profitability by offering advice on the development of target markets, product development, advertising, marketing and product mix.
- Identify new business opportunities for Visa offering of Visa Products for assigned clients
- Responsible for increasing the Visa products total penetration percentage of the clients portfolio.
- Evaluate competitive actions with respect to assigned clients and recommend appropriate action.
- Coordinate with the Marketing Area actions to strengthen the brand in the countries under responsibility.
- Participate in press conferences and speak at different business related Client sponsored activities.
- Identify, recommend and implement business alliances that will lead to the improvement of clients results.
- Increase the participation of VISA in the way of payment business through negotiation with new markets, prospects and other companies.
- Monitor competitors activities, fusions, acquisitions
- Select the business opportunities through permanent contact with the clients, as well as consulting companies and the market.
- Implement new products and services through close relationships with the parts involved in all projects.
- Maintain close contact with all Visa areas in order to search for solutions for the most critical problems, as well as to follow business movements that could be offered and applied to the clients and the market
- Attend the specific needs of the clients, sharing with VISA teams the clients knowledge with the purpose of assuring their satisfaction with VISA products and services.
- Look for information and data with the acquirers that could solve existing problems, as well as identify new business opportunities.
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
- 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- Bachelors Degree required. Graduate Degree Preferred
- 5 years of professional experience in sales and account management or business management experience in the financial services industry or retail industry
- Knowledge of Latin America and Caribbean Region
- Strong knowledge base of the credit card business
- Strong Negotiation Skills
- Bilingual English and Spanish (proficient verbal and written)
- Excellent sales, account management, project management, presentation, strategic planning and budgeting skills.
- Sound business judgment.
- Strong analytical skills (ability to identify tendencies, forecasts etc.)
- Strong interpersonal skills (ability to interact with several teams simultaneously),
- Strong ability to handle conflict
- Advanced spreadsheet modeling skills
- Extensive knowledge of Excel, Power Point, and Financial Systems
- Detailed and numbers oriented
- Presentation skills
