We are now looking for Logistics Specialist to our Business Unit Pulp, in Biomaterials division. This role is responsible to plan and book operational logistics capacity to ensure service level requirements, cost efficiency and on-time deliveries for division Biomaterials. Part of this role is to develop and improve processes and practices to meet division sustainability, safety, and profitability targets.
The place of employment shall be Tallinn office. We follow the hybrid work guidelines according to the Stora Enso values work-life balance.
Responsibilities
Logistics specialist is responsible to plan and book operational logistics capacity to ensure service level requirements, cost efficiency and on-time deliveries for division Biomaterials. Part of this role is to develop and improve processes and practices to meet division sustainability, safety, and profitability targets.
Planning/Fulfilment:

coordinate and manage break bulk and container booking operations and documentation according business needs.

general coordination of port operations related to shipments to ensure shipments materialize according to plan.

communicate, inform, and assist both internal and external stakeholders in sea and terminal operations related topics and restrictions.
-
maintain IT systems in responsibility area.

creating and maintaining KPI reporting
-
supporting order fulfillment in problem solving and finding alternatives for main routes

additional cost invoice checking.

reporting deviations and discrepancies
-
participation in projects upon need
Analysis:
-
Proposals for changes into existing contracts
-
Follow up stakeholder`s behavior (what is necessary to improve, what works well)

Follow up cost & demurrage.
Relationship:

Good relations with all the stakeholders (internal and external)

Close co-operation with procurement
-
Substitution of other members in Biomaterials Logistics Operations team.

IT expertise: Understanding of logistics IT systems and tracking possibilities to support efficiency and process development.

Supply Chain Management: Understanding of supply chain dynamics and logistics to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and services.

Compliance and Risk Management: Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as risk assessment and mitigation strategies in logistic operations.

Detail-Oriented: Ability to pay attention to detail and maintain accuracy in operational documentation, plans, schedules and records.

Adaptability: Flexible and able to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment to meet changing business needs.

Taking personal responsibility for health and safety in the day-to-day work situation

Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, logistics or equivalent work experience

1-5 years of experience in sea transport segment

Fluent written and spoken English. Other languages are beneficial.
