JobDescription:

We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Web Specialist to support our website operations. This role involves publishing and updating pages using templates, managing web assets, collaborating on website reports, and supporting basic SEO initiatives. You’ll work closely with the marketing team to help maintain a fast, functional, and user-friendly web experience.

Key Responsibilities

Website Content Management

• Create, update, and publish web pages using existing CMS templates (e.g., WordPress, Webflow, or similar).
• Assist in formatting, proofreading, and uploading content for marketing campaigns, blogs, product pages, etc.
• Ensure design consistency and web best practices across all updates.

Web Asset Management

• Upload and organize digital assets (images, PDFs, icons, etc.) in the CMS and asset libraries.
• Ensure correct file naming, optimization (e.g., compressing images), and metadata tagging.

SEO & Web Optimization Support

• Implement on-page SEO best practices (title tags, meta descriptions, alt text, internal links).
• Help with keyword placement and light content optimization.
• Assist in tracking and resolving broken links or 404 errors.
• Support broader technical SEO efforts such as improving site speed, implementing internal linking strategies, and enhancing crawlability through various techniques.
• Plan for smooth customer journey and optimize CTA placement to support engagement and conversion goals.

Website QA & Reporting

• Perform routine site checks and QA testing before and after publishing.
• Collaborate on website performance reports (e.g., Google Analytics, Search Console).
• Flag bugs or inconsistencies to developers or the Web Manager.
• Support website performance reporting through tools like GA4 and Google Search Console, with working knowledge of event tracking, conversion goals, and Google Tag Manager setup.

Cross-Functional Support

• Collaborate with marketing, design, and product teams to ensure web content aligns with goals.
• Help support product launches, promotions, and seasonal updates on the site.

Essential Requirements:

• 1+ year of experience in a web-related role, internship, or freelance work.
• Familiarity with CMS platforms like WordPress.
• Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS is a plus.
• Understanding of SEO fundamentals.
• Comfortable with image editing tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, or Figma).
• Experience using Google Analytics, Search Console, or similar tools is a bonus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude.
• Experience with Figma or other wireframing tools
• Have collaborative conversations with stakeholders who approach design from different angles
• Handle criticism well and with an open mind
