We are seeking a Technical Writer who will join the Corporate Technology team and help maintaining and expanding technical documentation for Veeam employees as well as department-level documentation. The Technical Writer will help different Veeam teams to quickly adapt to a fast-paced environment by creating clear and well-structured documentation. The Technical Writer will work closely with our Senior Technical Writer and subject matter experts from different teams within the Corporate Technology department.

Our Corporate Technology team is responsible for the company IT infrastructure and business applications, provides technical leadership in technology investment decisions, and technical support to Veeam employees around the world.​​

What you'll do:

  • Create, maintain, and formalize end-user documentation (e.g., user guides for systems and services provided by the Corporate Technology department, procedures related to interaction with the department). Our end-users are Veeam employees.
  • Create, maintain, and formalize the department-level documentation (e.g., user guides, procedures)
  • Prepare mailings/announcements that the Corporate Technology department sends to Veeam employees (e.g., introduction of new Corp Tech policies, global services, features).
  • Participate in knowledge base structuring and standardization (maintain internal style guide, article templates, etc.)

What we expect from you:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. A degree in Technical Communication, Computer Science or a technology related field would be a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience as a technical writer in the IT area.
  • Technical writing samples for review.
  • Excellent written English, ability to use simple English.
  • Ability to organize and structure information.
  • Ability to write user-friendly documentation about technical subjects.
  • An eye for detail (technical accuracy, consistency, grammar correctness including punctuation, etc.)
  • Good communication and self-organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to learn quickly.

What will be an advantage:

  • Familiarity with various aspects of the IT area would be a plus.
