This role will be based onsite in our Miramar office. This position reports to the Accounting Manager. The candidate must be flexible to work overtime as needed.
Position Summary:
The Junior Accountant will be responsible for assisting in managing financial records, preparing reports, and conducting reconciliations while ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role will perform tasks such as data entry, maintaining ledgers, and supporting senior accounting staff and demands strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintains accurate and up-to-date financial records.

Records basic journal entries and document financial transactions.

Prepares daily journal entries for cash transfers

Reviews and updates financial data in company systems.

Performs month-end close processes in a timely an accurate manner.

Completes reclass requests from the local office personnel

Analyzes and review general ledger accounts for discrepancies and miscoded entries.

Completes general ledger account reconciliations (bank accounts, prepaid, and accrual accounts) in Blackline software.

Processes payments and documents like invoices and journal vouchers as needed.

Assists in the preparation of financial statements (e.g., balance sheets, income statements).

Education & Prior Experience

Candidate will have a B.A. in Accounting.

Minimum of up to 2 years of general accounting experience.

Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.

Experience in Blackline and Aderant.
