JOB SUMMARY
This position is responsible for the scheduling, coordination, and administration of the ESP accredited training programs (Initial and Continuing) by providing Training oversight/assessment and technical guidance to improve line and station performance while meeting INPO ACAD requirements.
JOB DUTIES/ RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to ESP training program administrative functions, the ESP instructor is responsible for the following:
- Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation and Evaluation of the ESP training program using the Systematic Approach to Training (SAT) process.
- Managing accreditation renewal activities for the ESP training program in accordance with ACAD 02-002, “The Process for Maintaining Accreditation of Training in the Nuclear Power Industry” and ACAD 02-001, “Accreditation Objectives and Criteria.”
- Assist subject matter experts in the design, development, and implementation of training materials.
- Track trainee performance making appropriate notifications when performance gaps are identified and assisting the Superintendent Maintenance/Technical training programs and line owner with interventions.
- Assist line management in oversight of Mentoring Guides (OJT/TPE) activities for various engineering qualifications.
- Perform self-assessments, benchmarking, and observations of the ESP training program to identify potential strengths and weaknesses.
- Support refueling outages and emergency response team as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required of the Position:
- BS Engineering Degree
Minimum Experience Required of the Position:
- Six (6) years of experience in training at a commercial nuclear power plant, naval nuclear propulsion plant, or another similar industry and knowledge of the operational Nuclear Plant functions.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required of the Position:
- Excellent Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint knowledge
- Excellent VISION database knowledge
- Ability to learn and use site specific Learning Management System (LMS)
- Good interpersonal skills
- Effective writing and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills (Project Management)
Any Certifications, Licenses, etc., Required of the Position:
- INPO Training Instructor Certification.
