Human Resources Intern

SupplyHouse.com, an innovative and industry leading e-commerce company, is looking for a Human Resources Intern to work with us on-site this summer! This individual will gain hands-on experience supporting our Ohio fulfillment center team. 

This is an on-site opportunity that will require the selected individual to work from our Columbus, OH fulfillment center 5 days per week. This position may require travel to our NY office headquarters up to two times during the program for internal meetings and team-building activities. The cost of travel for employees out of the area will be covered by the company. Additionally, our offices are always available for staff to use as much as desired.

Location: 3840 Lockbourne Industrial Parkway, Columbus, OH 43207

Length of Program: Monday, June 2nd, through Friday, August 8th (10 weeks)

Internship On-Site Meeting: Wednesday, June 18th (required)

Hours: Standard business hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. EST. However, there is some flexibility as per our Flex-Time Policy.

Salary: $20.00/hour

The Day to Day:

• Coordinate new hire orientation and oversee the onboarding process with new employees in order to process HR related paperwork
• Assist employees with Leave policies (Medical, FMLA, Disability, Workers Comp, etc.)
• Handle administrative activities related to employee benefits, including health/dental/vision insurance, open enrollment, 401(k), life insurance, employee timecards, and employee relations 
• Conduct employee check-ins and maintain new hire scorecards
• Manage office administrative tasks
• Plan and drive employee engagement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with labor regulations
• Maintain confidentiality and security of all employees and proprietary company information
• All other responsibilities as assigned by the SupplyHouse Human Resources Team 

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a focus on Human Resources, Communications, Psychology, Business Management, or Operations management
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Team player mentality
