We have one opening for Grinder Operator for our second shift.

As a Grinder Operator at Regal Rexnord Thomson/Nook Cleveland Division your focus will be to:

• Set up centerless grinder, studer grinder and manual grinding machinery.
• Operate grinder machinery upholding and adhering to production standards and ISO 9001 regulations and guidelines.
• Inspect product to print, looking for any flaws and defect of material, including deburring if necessary.
• Move completed material to next workstation.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment.

Required Skills

Education: One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.

Experience: 6 months – 1-year related experience or training.

Specific Skills & Knowledge:

• Ability to interpret and understand verbal and written directions.
• Mechanically inclined with strong math skills. 
• Ability to read basic measuring devices, including micrometers, and calipers.  Working knowledge of surface footage and feed rates and experienced in calculating feeds and speeds.

• Must successfully complete a blueprint reading course.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.   The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit.  The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.  The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
