As a GTM Strategic Finance Sr. Analyst at Gong, you will report to the Sr. Director of GTM Strategic Finance and play a key role in driving data-driven insights and strategic recommendations that fuel our company’s growth. The individual will take on a key role in delivering the analytics that drive our annual growth plan, providing ongoing business perspective through forecasting, and educating the executive team with proactive business insights. The role will also take on critical analysis to inform decisions on strategic changes and investments in how we go to market and help run the operating rhythm of the Sales organization.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical and proactive with a strong technical skill set and a passion for performing deep analysis while quickly pivoting to powerful visualization and executive level messaging. We are looking for someone who is motivated by and has demonstrated success in driving business impact while operating in a flat organizational structure, operating across levels and cross-functionally to get things done.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Sales leadership and cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, and GTM Ops) to develop and refine our annual growth plan and strategic initiatives.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations based on analysis of business performance, including new business, upsell, churn, and downgrade.
  • Take ownership of the Sales planning cycle, working as a strategic thought partner to the revenue leaders and ensuring that the growth vision is ambitious yet achievable.
  • Deliver high-quality, executive-ready outputs that influence strategic decisions on investments, business adjustments, and operational improvements.
  • Own the real-time outlook and forecasting process across all customer segments, challenging assumptions and leveraging new forecasting techniques.

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in revenue operations, investment banking, GTM FP&A, and/or strategy consulting.
  • Prior Sales planning experience in a high-tech or enterprise software company is strongly preferred.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to dive into both tactical details and broader strategic issues across the Sales team.
  • Experience in manipulating large data sets, deriving meaningful insights, and presenting those insights in an actionable way for executive leadership.
  • Deep experience building complex financial / strategic analysis models in excel 
  • Proficiency in technical tools (SQL, Tableau) to perform deep data analysis is also beneficial
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into compelling narratives and insights for senior executives.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-moving environment while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and strategic thinking.

The annual salary hiring range for this position is $106,000 - $125,000 USD. 

Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including, but not limited to, job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
