The impact you will have  

Reporting to the Financial Reporting Manager, and as a part of the global Accounting Team, execute the monthly and quarterly accounting processes for Corporate accounting-related areas under both US GAAP and statutory reporting requirements while contributing to the overall transformation and growth of the accounting function in an exciting high-growth software company.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Execute assigned responsibilities for the monthly close process, ensuring all items on the close checklist have been completed
  • Prepare and post journal entries for various accounting transactions, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and leases
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations over various balance sheet accounts, which can include leases, fixed assets, prepaid and accrued expenses, equity accounts, etc.
  • Support research for and preparation of technical accounting memos, primarily associated with non-revenue topics such as contract analysis on leases and business combinations
  • Support various audits by gathering requested audit information, participating in walkthroughs and responding timeline to questions
  • Help establish accounting processes and execute controls over US GAAP corporate accounting matters
  • Identify opportunities to streamline and automate accounting processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Participate in special projects or initiatives as needed
  • Work in tandem with cross-functional teams to understand and assess transactions throughout the year
  • Assist with process improvements, risk mitigation and internal control enhancements for the revenue process
  • Work and collaborate within a team environment to share knowledge and information
  • Communicate timely and effectively both in-person and working remotely status, progress challenges to ensure timely completion and review of all work deliverables
  • Contribute to the optimization of Netsuite as well as the implementation of other systems and tools
  • And other duties as assigned.

The skills you will demonstrate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required
  • CPA or Master’s degree is preferred
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience (Big 4 accounting experience is a plus)
  • Netsuite experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience in technology industry is a plus
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 842 is required
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Excel are required (e.g., pivot tables, vlookups, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Experience with Netsuite, Floqast, Google collaboration tools and Salesforce a plus
