Capgemini is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Analyst II - Bus Ops for a top 10 US Insurance Carrier.

To ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data by analyzing and reconciling accounting records, identifying and resolving discrepancies, and supporting the efficient operation of accounting processes through data analysis and automation.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Build out process to track new business counts and Policy-In Force tracking which may include manual collection of data and build within powerbi environment
  • Collect, organize, and track performance metrics and build within powerbi environment
  • Build PowerBI that houses GWP, NB, and policies for all entities
  • Update Master scorecard with monthly results for all entities
  • Collect NB/GWP results by state & product
  • Perform data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in accounting processes.
  • Develop and implement data-driven solutions to improve the efficiency and accuracy of accounting operations.
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of accounting systems and controls.
  • Analyze and reconcile financial transactions, including financial reconciliations, intercompany reconciliations, and other account reconciliations.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies in accounting records, identifying and correcting errors.
  • Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for accounting transactions.
  • Assist with the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes.
  • Other adhoc requests and projects
Requirements

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with an understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with POWERBI and accounting software (e.g., ERP systems such as SAP, EPM) and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel)
  • Experience with data analysis and reconciliation techniques.

Additional Qualification:

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerBI and other data analysis tools.
  • Knowledge of accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS) is a plus.
  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., RPA) is a plus
  • Experience in EPM/ SAP
  • Experience in Business Objects.
