Job Description
We are currently looking for a team lead who will drive the vision and execution of our highly available platform to support mission-critical emergency call handling NG911 systems, a leader who will be combining strong technical expertise in virtualization, automation, and distributed systems with exceptional leadership skills to build and mentor a high-performing team, ensure seamless collaboration, and deliver innovative infrastructure solutions that support mission-critical applications. Teams are responsible for end-to-end solution development including design, implementation, testing, delivery, and maintenance in a 24/7 support model.
Basic Requirements
Technical skills - must have:
-
Strong understanding of Linux operating systems (RHEL preferred).
-
Experience with virtualization technologies (e,g PROXMOX, VMware ESXi, KVM).
-
Experience with container orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
-
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g.Bash, Python, Ruby).
-
Familiarity with automation of infrastructure and application deployments (e.g.Ansible, Terraform).
-
Experience with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
-
Understanding of networking concepts and principles and security best practices
Technical skills - good to have:
-
Knowledge of database management systems (e.g. PostgreSQL, MS SQL).
-
Familiarity with message queues (e.g.RabbitMQ).
-
Knowledge of log management and analytics tools (e.g.Elastic Stack, Prometheus).
-
Understanding of backup and disaster recovery strategies.
-
Familiarity with configuration management and version control systems.
Experience:
-
2+ years of experience in leadership position roles
-
8+ years of experience in a Platform Architect, Senior DevOps, System Architect or related roles
-
Experience in working with different time zones (fluent English)
-
Experience managing resources and timelines to ensure successful delivery of platform initiatives.

Hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned above.

Experience with large enterprise IT systems

Experience with highly available, zero-downtime platforms
-
Proven experience in ‘automate everything’ organizations
