We are currently seeking a full-time Project Manager II to join our Policy & Ratings Team. This individual
should be highly motivated, conscientious, and accountable. The person selected to fill this position will leverage experience in project management, collaborative stakeholder facilitation, and on-the-job learning. Experience or familiarity with building energy technologies and systems such as lighting, HVAC, water heating, envelope, food service, motors and motor driven systems, water efficiency, demand response, distributed generation, electric vehicles, data analytics, and related technology solutions is desired to help create large scale savings for our clients. Familiarity with building energy codes and/or background in public policy is also desirable. 

As a member of the Energy Solutions team you will have a broad impact on energy efficiency markets and greenhouse gas reductions through our work for major North American utilities, city and state governments, and other national leaders in energy efficiency policy. This unique market opportunity, paired with Energy Solutions’ mission driven approach, creates a perfect environment for individuals who want to have an active voice in shaping the energy future.  

  

Daily responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Overall direction, management, quality control and completion of project deliverables  
  • Developing and managing multiple complex project budgets, timelines, processes, and tasks with minimal oversight  
  • Managing the design and implementation of multiple projects and bringing them to conclusion  
  • Organizing and facilitating meetings with key subject matter experts and other project stakeholders
  • Proactively communicating project progress to management and clients  
  • Interacting with customers, clients, and external collaborators  
  • Conducting market research and data analysis  
  • Tracking of industry trends and other market changes that impact energy efficiency  
  • Lead proposal content development efforts  

  

Preferred qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree with an energy focus, preference being towards engineering, environmental science or public policy  
  • A minimum of five years of related work experience
  • Experience working on Department of Energy’s (DOE) Appliance Standards Program
  • Technical experience in the field of HVAC, water heating, decarbonization, demand response, distributed generation, data analytics, and related technology solutions preferred  
  • Experience with energy codes and standards and/or specification development preferred  
  • Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills  
  • Demonstrated outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills, including risk management and mitigation  
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct detailed technical and quantitative analysis  
  • Strong organizational and project management skills. Formal project management training preferred  
  • Demonstrated ability to interact professionally with clients and to serve as the primary point of client contact on projects  
  • Excellent personal accountability and quality control practices  
  • Intermediate experience using Microsoft Office and familiarity with task management software 

  


Compensation is commensurate with experience within the pay band of $79,000- $92,000/ Annually

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
