Your Role
The Director, Talent and Development will be responsible for the strategy and execution of initiatives to develop, retain, and grow talent, align the workforce to organizational goals, and contribute to building high-performing teams resulting in optimal organizational performance.
Primary Functions of the Director, Talent and Development Include:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive professional, manager, leadership, and career development strategies, programs, and learning experiences. Design individual development plan resources and tools to support team members’ professional growth.
- Design and implement the performance coaching process, resources, and tools to include goal setting, ongoing coaching & feedback, and annual performance reviews providing guidance to team members and leaders to align individual growth with company goals and ensuring a fair and constructive evaluation process.
- Design and implement a change management framework to enable leaders and team members to adapt and thrive in a changing environment.
- Support the talent and organizational review process, helping leaders to identify and nurture top talent within the organization.
- Support the creation of succession plans, ensuring the organization has a pipeline of skilled individuals ready to step into key roles as needed.
- Partner with People & Culture to create, implement, and facilitate key talent processes, such as org design and new leader assimilation.
- Partner with People & Culture to design, implement, and facilitate performance optimization interventions for leaders and teams.
- Design and facilitate strategic meetings.
- Perform other related responsibilities as assigned.
How You Qualify

- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field or at least 7 years of experience in talent management, organizational development, learning and development, or a related role
- 8+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, learning and development, or related field
- Experience leading large-scale learning and development programs with demonstrated ROI
- Proven ability to develop and implement performance optimization initiatives that drive positive outcomes
- Technology Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in HR software and performance management systems
- Communication: Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
- Change Management: Capable of managing transitions within the organization and implementing strategies to drive adoption
- Data Analytics: Ability to analyze team member data with the ability to interpret and present findings effectively
- Project Management: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Collaboration: Strong relationship-building skills with a collaborative approach to working across all levels of the organization.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
The base pay range for this role is$148,000.00 - $160,000.00. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Honest. Eligible roles also qualify for short-term incentives and a comprehensive benefits package.
