We are seeking a seasoned finance leader to manage the finance function for our payments business. This person will be responsible for end-to-end financial support of the payments business including the planning process, defining and tracking key financial metrics, pricing, influencing overall business strategy, and board documents. This role will also be responsible for driving scale and process optimization into the work we do to effectively support our payments business as it grows.
What You’ll Do:
- Act as a finance lead providing centralized support for our payments business, working closely with the GM, CCO, Controller, Treasury and external partners
- Own financial reporting including BOD materials, monthly business reviews, benchmarking and other analyses
- Go deep on understanding business drivers and develop insights across segments and cohorts to understand trends and proactively identify areas of opportunity and risk
- Lead financial planning for our payments business (e.g. Annual and Long Range Planning), partnering across the FP&A team and the business to define the calendar, standardized templates, and support consolidation
- Help define and deliver the strategy for our payments product with rigorous thinking and frameworks and answer key questions business leaders are wrestling with, including GTM plans, pricing, underwriting procedures, balance sheet optimization, partnerships and M&A where needed
- Partner with Data Science and Operations on requirements to identify and improve systems and tools needed to effectively scale with business growth
- Build and develop a high caliber team to scale with the business over time
What We’re Looking For:
- 10+ years of experience in strategic finance, preferably at a high growth, fintech focused business; consulting experience and/or MBA a plus
- Be a strategic, opinionated partner to these businesses and influence the overall product strategy
- Finance minded with strong operational focus to drive process, systems, and execution in a scalable and repeatable way. Prior FP&A experience combined with business unit/operational/strategic roles is a plus
- Able to “roll up sleeves” and go deep into the business analytics, understanding details while managing Exec level communication
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative working relationships with the business while effectively working cross functionally to drive alignment
- Exceptional analytical capabilities and business acumen with the ability to simplify and distill complex business information in a consumable way
- Ability to deal effectively with ambiguity and thrive in an unstructured, fast-paced environment
- Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills (including verbal and written communication skills). Must be able to work in a Matrix, leading both direct and indirect reports.
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
