Director of Order Management
What we are looking for:
The Director of Order Management is responsible for making critical business decisions that align with company policies and serve the best interests of the organization. This includes tasks such as implementing new processes or technologies, approving purchase orders for equipment, and providing recommendations on the lead market structure. The Director of Order Management will be managing/supervising a team of individuals responsible for providing assistance and direction within the operations department.
What you will do:
- Oversee the Operations Department, managing the entire process of quotations, revisions, order processing, including procurement and logistics.
- Manage staff responsible for maintaining the quality of master data, such as pricing, internal accruals, and reporting codes.
- Set and uphold high standards for quality, accuracy, and consistency in planning, forecasting, and budgeting for equipment purchasing and inventory levels.
- Manage KPIs and budgeting processes to ensure operational efficiency
- Consistently contribute to company-wide process improvement initiatives.
- Direct Supply Chain Managers for various product lines, overseeing inventory purchasing from international and domestic vendors.
- Procure stock equipment as needed to meet inventory targets set by senior management.
- Oversee the quotation process, ensuring smooth order management from initial quote to final order.
- Lead scheduling and analyze staffing metrics to optimize cross-country operations.
- Manage sales data, generating detailed reports that include comprehensive sales data and analysis.
- Actively participate in business meetings and forecasting discussions, focusing on equipment for AOP and FOCUS initiatives.
- Monitor and protect contribution margin levels by managing order profitability and discount structures.
- Oversee the Order Management processes for bids, contract administration (including consumables), WIT, inventory specials, and contract audits.
- Coordinate internal and external pricing with sales support functions.
- Administer compensation plans for equipment as directed by Product Management.
- Require a strong understanding of business operations and GAAP transaction flows.
- Need management capability for creative, “out of the box” problem-solving.
- Participate in international councils for process development.
- Maintain frequent contact with international colleagues.
- Maintain purchasing forecast for factory and vendor monthly meeting calls
What you need:
- Bachelor’s Degree/ Equivalent
- Over 5 up to 7 years of experience
- 4 to 8 years of supervisory experience and comprehensive knowledge of the overall departmental function.
- SAP experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of computers (Windows and Mac OS) and networking
