Purpose:
The Director, Capital Markets will be a key member in Athene’s Treasury department and will play an important role in raising debt capital to support the growth of the Company as well as raising funding for the organic Funding Agreement channel. The successful candidate will possess technical knowledge of debt capital markets and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Accountabilities:
- Plan and execute all activities related to debt capital markets deal execution, including review of complex legal documents, investor presentations, deal pricing and sizing, and all deal diligence checks
- Develop and maintain relationships with bankers to curate insightful market commentary, timely market updates, including building pricing dashboards, to provide recommendations on funding opportunities
- Provide input in the development of marketing materials, investor presentations, and events that will support the growth of the company’s investor base
- Responsible for managing coverage of peers, maintaining a comprehensive benchmarking analysis and performing other strategic analyses as needed.
- Responsible for maintaining the investor database and building new analytical tools
- Evaluate optimal financing options and strategies to maintain an efficient capital structure that supports ongoing operational and strategic funding needs.
- Monitor and track business development and new product development opportunities
- Manage execution of internal and external reporting
- Field inquiries from internal business partners and external parties, crafting relevant responses
- Identify process improvement opportunities and represent department on strategic project teams, such as acquisitions and system implementations, collaborates and works cross-functionally across the business to ensure efficient process structuring and compliance with local and international tax and legal requirements
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects as a tenacious self-starter
- Proven and assertive communicator who can interface effectively at all levels of the organization and influence business results through engagement, persuasion, and negotiation
Qualifications and Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant experience
- Strong financial modeling skills and in-depth understanding of the capital markets
- Advanced Skills in Microsoft Office especially Excel, and PowerPoint, Bloomberg, SNL, Ipreo. Knowledge of BI, Pything or other AI tools highly preferred.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or CFA preferred
$137,796.00 - $206,694.00 USD Annual
Annual Salary for this role is market competitive. Actual salary for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Depending on the role, a discretionary bonus plan or variable sales incentive may be included.
