Technical competences

At least 3+ years' experience on VMware product portfolio (TCI / TCP) with deep understanding of its design architecture.

Telco domain knowledge

Understanding and experience with ESXi, vCenter, vSAN, TKG, Kubelet, Kubeconfig.

Experience with Docker register, Operators, MachineSets, MachineConfigs, Custom Resource Definitions.

Experience in technical consulting, with demonstrated experience in in planning and designing workloads/applications on TKG and vCD.

Understanding and working experience of Telco Cloud Automation.

Good knowledge on SDS vSAN and its integration with TKG. Good understanding and working experience on Ansible.

Understanding of Software development life cycle (SDLC), DevOps, CI/CD. Having experience in architecting in enterprises using Agile methodologies

Development and deployment technologies (e.g., JIRA, GitHub, Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory)

Service Design/Architecture experience.

Added advantage of possessing professional certification VMware certified Professional (subsequent tracks), Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
Responsibilities
-
Provide Subject Matter Expertise in on-prem cloud computing with VMware TKG and related Open-Source products; thereby becoming a trusted advisor to influential decision makers.

Provide end-to-end technical guidance and expertise on how to effectively use VMware solution for prospects; creatively applying cloud infrastructure and platform services to help solve business problems;

and communicating these approaches to different business audiences across organizations.

Work with stakeholders to identify business problems and provide innovative solutions to them and accelerating the adoption of current and future technologies.

Manage problem identification, system architecture definition, software specification and design, implementation, testing and team training.

Work to harvest best practices and document lessons learned as part of continuous improvement of our offerings.

Explore and develop new technical skills, absorbing professional knowledge quickly.

Work collaboratively with product, portfolio and program management to carve the roadmaps.
