As a Deal Manager on the Strategic Deal Management team, you will be a critical contributor to the Zayo deal management process. Working with Zayo’s largest strategic customers, you will have the opportunity to drive team execution on our deal management processes ranging from deal support, quote preparation, contract review, approval management, and deal processing. You will also have the opportunity to continually improve our process, ensuring a scalable and sustainable support model for our expanding sales team.
This position will require a firm grasp of Zayo’s product portfolio, industry market dynamics, and a strong financial acumen. The role will be highly collaborative with other segments of the business (Legal, Product, Operations, Finance). Prior sales support experience and knowledge of industry technology and terminology, as well as proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint, is required. Additionally, the ability to integrate quickly into Zayo’s processes and manage workload in a dynamic, independent, entrepreneurial environment is also critical.
Responsibilities

Deal support including quote creation, approval management, and deal positioning

Ownership of business cases for review and approval of material deals for assigned customers across Sales organization

Proactive and regular interaction with key sales partners and/or customers to ensure deals meet the needs of the customer

Work cross-functionally with other areas (Legal, Product, Operations, Finance) to ensure that deals move quickly, efficiently, and intelligently through the process

Responsible for all aspects of deal support for assigned customers: quote preparation, contract reviews, deal support, approval management, and deal processing
Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of commercial deal desk or offer management experience in the telecommunications industry preferred

Prior experience with network development or other network construction/planning is beneficial

Undergraduate B.A. or B.S. degree. Focused area of study in Business, Finance or Economics preferred.

MBA and/or equivalent work experience with proven ability to work across functional boundaries preferred.

Well-developed financial skills including business case development, cost management, budgeting and financial analysis.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, procedure manuals, and prepare presentations and proposals. Must possess the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees and customers.

Proficiency in the MS Office suite with emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of Salesforce.com platform is a plus.

Requires an individual who is detail oriented with superb organizational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritize. Requires an ability to be flexible in work schedule and to work and meet strict deadlines with limited supervision.

Base Salary Range $66,500 - $95,000, commensurate with experience
