The Interface Configuration Specialist is responsible for configuring and implementing pension system data interfaces.
The successful candidate must exhibits exceptional grit and resourcefulness, thriving in challenging environments through a combination of tenacious self-directed learning, innovative problem-solving, and a willingness to embrace trial-and-error approaches.
Responsibilities
- Can explain to internal colleagues how the pension system interface solution is working and what can be done using configuration
- Help the Business analysts to review the client’s requirements and identify the “gaps” where client’s requirements cannot be fulfilled by configuration only
- Influence our business analysts to make sure his goal is to use our COTS solution and minimize developments
- Is responsible of ensuring that the Pension system interface configuration is in line with the provided specifications and unit test cases
- Coordinate with the development team to receive their development in a timely manner
- Assist QA team for the testing of the interface and new developments
- Is offering time to coach his colleagues to increase their knowledge of the configuration possibilities
Requirements
- Degree in mathematics, finance, administration, economics, actuarial science or any other training deemed adequate
- 3 years experience in a related domain
- Fluent in both oral and written French, knowledge of English
- Keen interest in deepening his knowledge
- Capability to communicate with technical and non-technical people, Possess good communications skills
- Analytical skills and ability to summarize
- Accountability, delivers quality on time
- Capacity to influence project members in a positive way
- Work well in collaboration with BAs, QA, PM, Dev teams
- Ability to understand the “big picture” as well as to operate in details of a situation
- Experience in Pension, an asset
