Azure Data Platform is a well-established service in Global Business Services – Data Availability service tower. We provide a platform for complete business analytics, which is used mostly in self-service mode, but we also provide best practices and guidelines for our users.

We are now looking for a Data Architect who will lead the design and development of our solutions and help us make smarter decisions to deliver even better products.
In this role, you'll get to work with modern data technologies like Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, and dbt. There are plenty of chances to grow your skills, whether it's through conferences, training programs, or certifications.
You will work in Ostrava (Czech Republic) in a hybrid mode, combining working from the office and from home. You will report to the Director, Platforms, tools, and engineering.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead the design and development of data solutions and mentor junior team members.

Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for data modeling consultation.

Prepare, review, and optimize data models.
-
Collaborate with other architects to develop end-to-end solutions.

Ensure developed solutions fulfill needed quality standards.

Provide guidance and consultation to data engineers and analysts.

Create and maintain architectural documentation, best practices, guidelines, and training materials.
Skills and experience we expect you to have:

Extensive practical experience in data modeling.

Strong understanding of data management concepts.

Ability to capture business requirements and propose solutions.

Excellent documentation skills for technical solutions (focus on data models).

Strong communication skills in English.

Consulting mindset and ability to train people.

Ability to mentor junior team members.
Qualification for the role:

General understanding of cloud concepts like Azure (Data Lake, Data Factory, etc.), Google, or AWS.

Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases.

Understanding of agile software development in a DevOps environment and CI/CD concepts.

Experience with metadata management, data quality tools, data catalog tools, and master data management.
