Job Responsibilities:
Senior CAE Engineer works completely independently in the team. Lead and oversee complete project and must be able to provide and explain technical possibilities to solve complex technical issue. Is responsible for complete model preparation, solving and evaluation to ensure that product design meet performance, customer, safety and regulatory requirements. Previous strong CAE experience and background on similar position in Lighting is expected to support team immediately.

  • Independently prepare, build, solve and evaluate FEM/CFD models


  • Conduct virtual testing and validation of product designs, including thermal durability, noise/vibration/harshness (NVH) durability and crashworthiness analysis


  • Investigate simulation results to identify areas for improvement, propose design changes, and make recommendations to enhance performance and quality


  • Independently manage communication with other teams regarding possible technical issues and solutions


  • Creation and maintenance of models and detailed documentation of analysis methods, assumptions and results


  • Develop and implement advanced simulation techniques to address specific engineering challenges or improve simulation accuracy


  • Conduct thermal/structural measurements


  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior and standard CAE engineers, sharing knowledge and best practices


  • Continuously evaluate and implement state-of-the-art CAE methodologies and tools to enhance simulation capabilities and improve engineering efficiency


  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in CAE technology and methodologies, and contribute to the continuous improvement of processes


  • He/she works completely independently. Does not require guidance or supervision from a more senior colleague/supervisor.


  • Communicates with the customer completely independently and autonomously.


  • Acts responsibly with due care for the property entrusted to him/her.


  • Follows the principles of Magna Employee Charter, Magna Work Rules, Magna Occupational Health and Safety Policy, Fire and Environmental Protection Policy, MML Quality Guidelines, Processes defined for our division.


  • Completes all assigned training in a timely and proper manner.


  • Completes tasks assigned by his/her supervisor related to the agreed job description in a timely and proper manner.


  • Appropriately represents Magna and its interests in communication with business partners, employees and other institutions.


  • Participates in the training and mentoring of less experienced colleagues and students.


  • When necessary, independently takes responsibility for a sub-part of a technical project.


  • Participates in the development, oversight and compliance with project financial plans.


  • Can represent interim CAE Manager position
