Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive accounting/finance leader to join our team in supporting Tyson’s Beef management team with timely, accurate financial insights across all beef plants. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is skilled in financial analysis, and has a passion for continuous improvement and process automation. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational expertise, and a proven ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Analysis & Reporting:
- Collaborate with plant controllers to support the preparation of weekly profit and loss (P&L) estimates.
- Identify key drivers behind budget-to-actual variances and communicate findings clearly.
- Analyze financial data and summarize insights to support strategic decision-making.
- KPI Management:
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify, quantify, and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) across all beef plants.
- Business Review Support:
- Assist in preparing materials for weekly, monthly, and quarterly business review meetings.
- Financial Close & Journal Entry Management:
- Support the financial close process by preparing accurate and timely journal entries and ensuring alignment with accounting standards.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Act as a trusted advisor and key point of contact for leadership by delivering financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with teams across plant operations, sales, cattle procurement, scheduling, and finance.
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint | SQL skills highly valued
- Strong computer and financial reporting skills.
Communication Skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build trust and effectively engage with leadership and cross-functional teams.
Travel:
Minimal travel may be required.
