How you'll make an impact

Coordinate projects with senior consultants to plan and conduct energy consulting studies.

Design and develop computer models for power system simulations.

Conduct independent studies and research using advanced analytical techniques.

Prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations.

Participate in customer meetings and interface on technical matters.

Serve as a technical consultant and advisor for clients.

Identify business and process improvement needs, propose solutions, and assist with implementation.

Your background
-
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a concentration in Electrical Power/Energy Systems and 3 years of experience in power system studies, or Master’s degree and 1 year of experience, or PhD.

Experience with power system simulation software such as PSS/E, PSCAD, MATLAB, DSATools, ETAP, CYME, SKM, or ASPEN.

Coursework or professional experience with programming, AI/ML, and power system analysis preferred.

Knowledge and experience in transmission planning or operating studies (100 kV ~ 765 kV), power system analysis, including load flow, dynamic stability, voltage stability, short circuit, transfer limits, or electromagnetic transients preferred.

Experience with renewables, energy storage studies, electric vehicle charging, or AI/ML applications to power systems preferred.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
