Job Title: Business Development Representative

Location: USA - Remote

About the role:

As a Business Development Representative, you will sell BSI products and services to new and existing customers across a defined BSI product suite. In this role, you will identify and manage sales opportunities, building an in-depth understanding of a clients current and future business needs and drivers and position the BSI value proposition, how BSI products and services ' Make Excellence a habit'.

Responsibilities:

  • Proactively network with existing customers to sell additional BSI products.
  • Identify new prospects to grow the BSI customer base through targeted calls to generate sales revenue in line with new business targets.
  • Execute BSI sales process to investigate, explore and understand customer needs to sell relevant products/services
  • Investigate relevant resource required and provide a timeline for delivery to meet customer order & solve any customer issues.
  • Routinely review sales activity and quality KPIs, based on sales ratios to plan future sales activities to deliver on financial and activity targets.
  • Manage potential through account and opportunity management to develop solid pipeline and produce accurate sales forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Use relevant sales/product collateral and knowledge of competitors to illustrate how a range of BSI products meet identified customer needs, employing the price book and tools to propose main products and services.

To be successful in the role, you will have:​

  • 1-year previous experience and Bachelor’s degree is preferred but experience is considered in lieu of a degree
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services in a solution selling environment.  Understands role of key functions and how to engage to meet customer needs
  • Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar to create and edit correspondence
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to provide internal customer service at all levels of the business 
  • Microsoft Office.  Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management Systems (Salesforce.com or similar)
  • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Ability to talk to others to convey information effectively and persuade others to change their minds or behavior.

The salary for this position can range from $46,000 to $62,000 annually; actual compensation is based on various factors, including but not limited to, the candidate’s competencies, level of experience, education, location, divisional budget and internal peer compensation comparisons.
