Job Overview: The Sales Development Representative will play a pivotal role in generating and qualifying leads to drive new business opportunities for Findhelp. This role is ideal for someone passionate about sales and relationship-building, with a focus on setting up qualified opportunities for the sales team to close. The BDR will engage in high-volume, high-quality outreach to prospects, leveraging prospecting best practices and CRM tools to ensure successful handoffs to Account Executives (AEs), Senior Account Executives (SAEs), and Regional Directors (RDs). They will be accountable for achieving a quota of Sales Qualified Meetings (SQMs) within their designated territory.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Lead Generation & Research:
- Partner with AE’s, SAE’s, and RDs to identify and research key decision-makers and target accounts
- Utilize tools like LinkedIn, ZoomInfo and other resources to gather insights on prospects’ areas of interest, key initiatives, and pain points.
- Document all prospect information in HubSpot for personalized outreach and for use by the sales team in future engagements.
- Outbound Prospecting:
- Conduct targeted outbound outreach via emails, calls, and LinkedIn to connect with and engage potential leads.
- Support sales campaigns by reaching out to prospects generated from conferences and marketing efforts.
- Create and execute cold outreach strategies tailored to individual prospects.
- Lead Qualification:
- Apply a structured qualification framework (e.g. BANT – Budget, Authority/Decision Making Process, Need, and Timeline) to assess lead potential and ensure only high-quality prospects are passed on to the sales team.
- Track and document all activities, including prospect interactions and qualification status, within HubSpot.
- Relationship Building:
- Establish and nurture relationships with key decision-makers, positioningFindhelp’s platform as a solution to address their challenges and improve outcomes.
- Use consistent follow-up strategies to maintain engagement with prospects over time.
- Appointment Setting & Demo Coordination:
- Schedule qualified meetings, product demos, and Findhelp overview sessions for AEs, SAEs, and Regional Directors.
- Provide clear documentation of all interactions, including relevant prospect context, contact, and discussion history, to ensure a seamless handoff.
- Pipeline Management:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on leads and activities in Hubspot, ensuring no prospects fall through the cracks.
- Track activities like calls made, emails sent, meetings booked, and opportunities created.
- Market Research & Competitive Insights:
- Stay current on industry trends, competitor offerings, and customer pain points.
- Share valuable insights with sales and marketing teams to refine targeting, messaging, and product positioning.
- Cross-Department Collaboration:
- Collaborate closely with the marketing team to align on campaigns, messaging, and outreach strategies.
- Ensure smooth lead transition and follow-up in coordination with other sales team members..
- Achieve KPIs and Metrics:
- Consistently meet or exceed performance targets, including lead generation, meetings booked, and opportunities created.
- Continuous Learning & Development:
- Develop a deep understanding of the Findhelp platform, buyer personas, and our target market.
- Engage in ongoing personal development to stay current with best practices in sales development and prospecting.
Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or similar college level education; in lieu of degree, relevant skills or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of selling in a SaaS environment
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals and quotas
- Experience with outbound prospecting, cold outreach, and lead qualification.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Physician demands and work environment
- This job is based on-site in Austin, TX, Denver, CO or Madison, WI
- This is a largely sedentary role; standard office equipment is used, such as laptops, monitors and headsets, if needed.
- Travel is required for Prospective Meetings, Conferences and Management Retreats.
