Business Development Manager LCE
Job Profile
We are looking for a seasoned Business Development Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset.
The Life Cycle Engineering (LCE) department of Royal IHC helps customers to make adaptations and upgrades to integrated equipment, systems, and structures. This includes the engineering of modifications, renovations, and improvements to equipment and systems. Royal IHC has a vast installed base of vessels and integrated systems, and customers expect us to support them in ensuring ongoing operational readiness of these vessels and systems during the full life cycle. That life cycle can last over 50 years. In other words, LCE is a service activity for operational dredging and offshore vessels comprising three main aspects:
- analyses and studies – from feasibility studies to workability analyses
- engineering and design – from concept engineering to production drawings
- naval architecture – from stability guidance booklets to lightweight checks.
Within LCE we are convinced that it is very important that the business development manager is engaged throughout the entire flow, starting at lead generation up to after sales. The power of LCE is its ability to leverage all the knowledge and craftsmanship available in the Royal IHC group. Using legacy data and knowledge holders LCE generates creative and effective solutions and provides these to our customers.
Your engagement starts early, identifying opportunities for increased asset performance and readiness with customers, both existing and new, and converting those to, ultimately, engineering assignments and projects to execute the engineered solution. Throughout this process, you orchestrate the team effort required (i.e. proposal management, solution definition and cost estimation).
For all the orders that we win, you remain the commercial contact person for the customer, and work closely with the project manager to ensure customer success.
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for the following:
- engage with existing and new customers on senior business and technical level;
- build a pipeline of leads and opportunities;
- carry and deliver the LCE sales target;
- orchestrate the process and team from lead generation to contract to (hardware) after sales;
- work alongside the LCE manager to ensure responsiveness in the sales process and proper qualification and prioritization of resources;
- contribute to our social media visibility.
