New Business Development Manager Europe / North America (m/f/d)
Huntsman has a rare opportunity for an enthusiastic New Business Development Manager (m/f/d) with a strong passion for new EV Battery business and market development to be based at our Regional Head Office in Europe and NA.
Reporting into Strategic marketing lead of EV Battery Center of Excellence you will responsible to drive business growth through the value chain engagement and identification of new market opportunities for our Polyurethane business in Europe and / or NA. This is a highly strategic role focused on delivery, where you will take accountability for delivering a new business development opportunity and fulfill technology innovation portfolio for our strategic business area of EV Batteries. You will be working closely with global R&D and Strategic Marketing teams and be part of Global EV Battery Center of Excellence.
Fluency in German is essential for this role, with a preference for candidates based in Germany or, alternatively, Belgium. We offer flexibility in the work model, with a strong preference for a hybrid arrangement.
Requirements:
- Profound knowledge and understanding of the EV battery value chain and battery pack technology players in Europe/NA.
- Degree-qualified with previous experience in a commercial role focused on new business development and the identification of new markets and opportunities.
- A proven track record of creating new business opportunities and supporting the commercialization of new products in previously untapped markets.
- Ability to identify, qualify, and support the development of new projects within our Innovation Pipeline.
- Background in business development, market intelligence, and identifying new market dynamics and levers at a regional level.
- Experience influencing and engaging across all levels and functions within a matrix organization without direct line responsibility.
- Fluent in both English and German.
Additionally, as the New Business Development manager, you will:
- Be instrumental in building and expanding relationships within the European and American EV battery value chain.
- Identify key players and decision makers; establish relationships and drive opportunity validation and closure.
- Identify specific innovation projects which are focused on entering new applications within the EV battery area. Also identifying and proposing disruptive innovation project to Innovation Governance Board.
- Explore attractive applications, understand relevant trends, map growth, value and current material.
- Playing field whilst clearly understanding and develop possible MDI/PU/HPU value propositions.
- Identify general business and technical requirements to be able to capture growth and value within that market.
- Contribute to cross functional teams of indirect reports on selected high impact, new business development projects.
- Secure opportunity planning, follow up according to milestones and timely progress until transfer to commercial organization.
