Job Description
Preferred Location: Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The primary function of this position is to build and maintain a solid business relationship with an assigned portfolio of accounts. In addition, this person should develop and maintain relationships with other key regional industry representatives. These relationships aim to maximize sales volume and profitability by developing and implementing a comprehensive plan to increase WFS market activity in the assigned portfolio. The Territory Manager owns the customer relationship and will act as a liaison between the customer and other WFS functions and employees when required. The Territory Manager is also responsible for developing new opportunities by conducting new customer prospecting visits to major airports, FBOs, consumers, suppliers, and vendors. These activities will be entered into and managed using the company’s CRM platform.
Activities and expectations will include:
- Achieve annual sales volume and gross profit goals for the assigned region.
- Maintain and grow account and product portfolio following business plan and strategy.
- Develop a clear understanding of the market and customer dynamics in the assigned region.
- Raise the awareness of WFS Business Aviation offerings and opportunities to enhance business.
- Aggressively identify new prospective customers and engage all internal and external parties to initiate business.
- Utilize WFS’ CRM platform to maintain prospective customer pipelines, account profiles, and other information as requested.
- Develop a working knowledge of competitor offerings and build propositions to keep customer interest and attention on WFS offerings.
- Interact with internal stakeholders to improve WFS's value proposition to customers.
- Work with internal support teams, including credit, supply, dispatch, accounting, HSSE, legal, etc., to ensure easy business flow with customers.
- Represent the company at regional and/or national trade events as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience is required
- Minimum of 5 years experience in Sales-Marketing, preferably in Aviation Fuels - or in closely related industries
- Aviation/Aircraft knowledge required
- Must have a strong understanding of fuel markets, supply, and pricing strategies
- Prior Sales training is required
- Customer service orientation with absolute integrity
- Computer Proficiency and software skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and CRM
- 50%+ Travel
