GENERAL FUNCTION

The Brand Specialist coordinates day-to-day execution of brand campaigns and assists in the development of creative for brand including paid and owned media. This includes assisting and coordinating management of video, static and gifs for use in all media including TV, social, digital, radio, ATM, in-branch and other owned media.
Responsibilities include working with teams across Fifth Third Bancorp and our agency partners in the development and execution of creative that aligns with brand strategy and providing creative and media trends, opportunities and best practices for the B2C and B2B business. The Brand Specialist works with the internal approval legal and compliance teams to ensure creative meets legal and regulatory requirements. Incumbents will have responsibility for executing campaigns and reporting on outcomes.

Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank’s risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. Previous experience in marketing is a must. Reports to the VP, Brand and Advertising.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Execution. Assist in execution of brand creative campaigns and facilitate and coordinate all internal reviews and feedback, as directed by manager to ensure alignment across organization. Stay on top of the rapidly evolving brand and social media scene, as well as efforts of key competitors.
  • Collaboration. Partner with Brand, Design, LOB Marketing Managers, Legal and Compliance in the development and publishing of paid and owned content within the communications calendar and priorities of the marketing team.
  • Reporting. Continuously deliver actionable analysis of results, with monthly and quarterly reporting that gives clear and concise summaries of effort and outcome.
  • Social Media. Assist in executing and publishing the paid and organic social media and partner with agency partners, Brand and Design.
  • Project Management. Help facilitate and track all brand projects created internally and with outside agency partners, always holding the agency accountable for top-quality content and support and ensuring content is developed and published on time. Coordinate the creative assets within the social media Sprinkler platform.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or other related field and/or equivalent work-related experience.
  • Minimum of 1 – 3 years' experience in marketing.
  • Demonstrated ability of managing and executing end-to-end creative from budgets and planning to implementation, optimization, and reporting.
  • Knowledgeable in branding and demonstrated knowledge of fundamental marketing distribution.
  • Clear understanding of the digital ecosystem and how to integrate media, as well as achieve and articulate success.
  • Experience with regulatory issues regarding the use of media for financial services or other highly regulated industries.
  • Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities within specified timeframes.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Normal office environment with little exposure to dust, noise, temperature and the like.
  • Extended viewing of CRT screen.
