Capita Pensions Solutions are looking for a Bid Writer reporting directly to the Head of Bid Management, to produce professionally written proposal content that clearly articulates the organisation's value proposition. This is a networked role that requires an ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines.
You will work with the Sales Enablement Content Exec to ensure our house style flows seamlessly from market info, sales pitches and through to bid documents. You will also ensure that our standard bid submission templates are always up to date and constantly evolving.

Job Description:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Lead storyboard sessions with bid / proposal team members and key stakeholders
  • Proactively develop and manage a network of subject matter experts
  • Assist the Bid / Proposal manager in developing a proposal structure
  • Identify and re-work existing pre-written content where relevant
  • Deliver completed written proposal responses to the Bid Manager against agreed RFP deadlines, escalating issues as required
  • Re-write / edit proposal responses from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, technical / product teams, finance, commercial, legal and delivery
  • Ability to coach sales teams and subject matter experts in writing best practice
  • Present all new proposal content to the knowledge base manager for potential re-use.

  • Demonstrable experience working across the end-to-end bid process
  • Developing, and winning, compelling client propositions
  • Working on complex, high value bids
  • Project managing multifaceted projects
  • Developing compelling and effective collateral for presentations, proposals and submissions
  • Using innovative technologies, such as AI, to streamline the bid writing process.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to effectively engage with stakeholders at a senior level and clients
  • Highly developed relationship management skills with the ability to bring people together to meet a common outcome
  • A growth mindset with the willingness to learn and ability to teach and inspire others to learn
