The purpose of this position is to assist all batchers in/on all positions and or lines in processing. Must also be willing to upgrade skills as necessary.
Responsible to operate equipment using food ingredients in the scaling, and batching function/s to deliver usable product that meets quality and quantity specifications of/for the production lines.
Keep downtime at a minimum and increase overall efficiency. Verify that the correct raw materials and quantities are available throughout the shift. Make all efforts to minimize waste. Will also be required to perform/assist with set ups

Job Description:
Schedule: 2nd Shift 5:00pm to 4:30am, Monday - Friday, with rotating for Saturday work based on production schedule.
Work Location: 1325 Chase Ave, Elk Grove Village, IL 60007
Benefits: Based on Union Contract Provisions
Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: 2nd shift: $20.71 per hour, plus $0.25 shift differential.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Able to operate mix tank equipment (assemble & disassemble)
Must assemble and take apart mix tank equipment, pumps and mills
Must clean and sanitize mix tank equipment
Able to read, write, perform math and use a calculator
Responsible for completing all required paperwork
Able to read Formulations and Production Schedule
Able to lift 50 Lbs.
Accurately record ingredient lot numbers and weigh out exact
quantities of ingredients
Set up equipment and do a pre-op line sanitation
Responsible for maintaining the work area clean
Able to operate a Forklift
Batchmakers must come in 30 minutes before production starts
Batchmakers are in a critical job & carry additional responsibilities
are expected to work OT as Scheduled
Must have knowledge to handle pre-mix, and pre-assembly work
Additional tasks as needed.
Education and / or Experience
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
