The role:
- The Automation Test Engineer at MyPass Global ensures the quality and reliability of our software by developing and maintaining automated test scripts. This role enhances testing efficiency, supports high-quality software delivery, and helps identify defects early to improve user experience and reduce time-to-market. Key focus areas include testing our core products, system integrations, and maintaining existing solutions.
Day to day:
- Daily: Writing and executing automated test scripts, analysing test results, and reporting defects.
- Weekly: Reviewing and updating test cases, participating in sprint planning and stand-up meetings, and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
- Monthly: Conducting regression testing, generating test coverage reports, and contributing to the improvement of the testing framework and processes.
- Use tools and technologies such as Playwright, Selenium, JIRA, TestNG, Jenkins, and Git.Apply methodologies including Agile, Scrum, and Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) practices.
- Write and maintain test scripts for various platforms, including web, mobile, and API testing.
- Collaborate closely with development, product management, and DevOps teams.
- Adhere to performance metrics (see Measures of Success).Maintain high code quality for test scripts and ensure comprehensive test coverage.

- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in test automation tools (e.g. Playwright, Selenium, TestNG)
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g. Postman, Swagger)
- Understanding of non-functional testing
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and principles
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins)
- Experience with test management tools such as Xray, Testrail
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g. Git, Bitbucket)
- Programming Languages:
- Proficiency in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript
- Familiarity with testing frameworks like Selenium WebDriver, TestNG, JUnit, Jest, WebDriverIO, Playwright or similar
- Soft Skills and Personal Qualities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing
