About the Role:
The Associate Product Manager is responsible for gathering business requirements from cross-functional stakeholders, guiding the vision of what needs to be built, and working with the engineering team to deliver that vision. You will define acceptance criteria for stories and validate that they are met. You will manage the product backlog, delivering a prioritized set of stories for the product. As the Associate Product Manager you are responsible for delivering roadmap concepts and maintaining the products.
We’re looking for someone who can build and leverage strong relationships. You will work closely with Engineers, Product Managers and members of the broader Product team to define the approach to and management of our application data. You are ultimately responsible for aligning the team behind the most important projects at any given time, with an eye toward driving growth in key metrics and constantly improving the gathering and deliverability of data. Ideal candidates are curious, self-motivated and keen to solve interesting problems for internal and external customers.
This is a hybrid role, based in the Netherlands with the expectation to work from the office once every 1-2 weeks.
Key Role Responsibilities:
- Develop actionable plans to improve on key areas such as product health, usability and competitive reach.
- Help to set the product roadmap, understanding and leading tradeoff decisions to meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders most effectively.
- Own and prioritize the backlog in collaboration with other key members of the Product and Engineering teams.
- Clarify requirements and work to drive user stories to acceptance throughout the agile development lifecycle.
- Participate in sprint planning, review, and retrospective meetings and provide feedback to the team.
- Ensure acceptance criteria are clearly defined and verify that story implementation matches requirements.
- Map out data personas and user profiles for internal and external data consumers.
- Maintain constant communication with the scrum team.
- Work cross-functionally with key partners in Customer Support and Success to ensure high quality product delivery and user satisfaction.
Minimum Requirements:
- Ability to function well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
- Ability to prioritize product capabilities/features based on vision, business goals, technology, schedules, and budgets.
- Detective-like problem solving skills – you thoroughly investigate the situation and then use that data to design the right solution.
- Ability to flex between the technical and business sides of your brain.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work both independently and lead cross functional teams
- Ability to build strong working relationships with your Engineering and Product partners, as well as cross-functional peers in the organization.
- Experience working with distributed and international teams or stakeholders using English as the primary language.
- Passion for secure data delivery and strong practices therein.
- Experience working with enterprise customers, even if that experience was outside of a product role.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
- 1-2 years of experience working with technical teams in product development, or as a product manager or product owner.
- Understanding of APIs.
- Experience with data and databases either from education or work experience.

• In addition to salary, cash compensation for this role also includes 5% annual discretionary company bonus potential. Salary will vary based on experience, skills, and location.
