Purpose of the job:
A unique and exciting opportunity for an ambitious and motivated candidate to lead our Depositary team and our Depositary services to fund managers. CSC Netherlands is renowned by clients and the market for its relentlessness to deliver exceptional service. CSC Depositary is part of CSC Netherlands and its main responsibility is to act as Depositary for Dutch investment funds. This role will give you exposure to all aspects of the Depositary business.
The Team lead Depositary will be responsible to perform Depositary tasks for our fund clients, and in addition, in close cooperation with our Head of Depositary, supervises the existing team of Depositary officers within CSC Depositary (10-12 people). The Team lead coaches and provides guidance to the team members, and encourages them to achieve common goals. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the team reporting directly to the Head of Depositary.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
The tasks and Responsibilities can be split in the following subjects:
Key Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact to his/her team depositary officers
  • Develop an approach for team members to achieve common/team goals
  • Assign tasks to team members and guide them in their work
  • Coach, motivate and provide guidance to team members in developing themselves and achieving personal goals
  • Responsible for the bi-annually and yearly evaluation cycle of his/her team
  • Completion and review of depositary activities including cashflow monitoring, asset safekeeping and oversight procedures
  • Ensure the timely provision of reporting to the clients
  • Determine timelines and monitor progress in consultation with team members
  • Operate as a key part of the team to deliver a client focused, high quality service
  • Assist with the onboarding of new clients, both from a fund launch and fund migration perspective
  • Contribute to the integration of CSCD and the Intertrust Depositary organisation in Amsterdam
  • Optimize internal processes and contribute to organization-wide projects
  • Reports to the Depositary directors and works closely with the rest of the CSC leadership team on a strategic, tactical and operational level to achieve the ambitions of CSC Netherlands and to continue to develop CSC's Depositary business


Qualification / Experience required:

  • Preferable HBO or University degree in accountancy, business, finance or related discipline ór at least five year of relevant prior working experience, preferably in the field of depositary, banking or fund services environment and in a managerial/team leader role
  • Teamplayer, strong interpersonal skills, the ability to communicate effectively with a high level of energy, motivation, tenacity and agility
  • Safekeeper of a honest, people based culture
  • Excellent in time management and priority setting
  • Familiarity with the AIFMD, UCITS and Dutch regulatory environment are advantageous
  • Good written and verbal skills to convey information in Dutch and English, both internally and externally to clients
